Translation
SiteDocs can translate any documentation section into another language with your AI connector.
Default Language
Set Default Translation Language under Tools → SiteDocs → Settings → AI & Translation (for example French, Spanish, German). It pre-fills the language box and is shown at the top of the Documentation tab. It's optional - you can type any language each time.
Translating a Section
Open the translate panel
Click the 🌐 button on the section.
Choose the language
Type a language name (pre-filled with the default).
Translate
Click Translate. The translation appears below the original text, and the section shows a language badge.
- The original text is kept; the translation is stored alongside it.
- Each section keeps one translation - translating again replaces it.
- Every click calls the AI again.
Regenerating keeps translations of sections you edited by hand (when Keep my edited sections is ticked). Translations of other sections are removed, because their text changes - translate them again.
Translations are not included in the PDF export or the AI Chat context.
