What Is the Knowledge Base
The knowledge base is a collection of text articles that ShopChat uses to answer questions not covered by the live product catalog. Typical content:
- Shipping policies
- Return and refund policies
- Size guides
- Care and maintenance instructions
- Brand story and values
- FAQs
Knowledge Base Sync
Navigate to WooCommerce → ShopChat → Knowledge Base.
ShopChat automatically syncs the following sources into the knowledge base:

| WooCommerce Product Descriptions | Long descriptions of all published products |
| Custom KB Entries | Articles you create manually |
Click Sync Now to immediately rebuild the knowledge base index. Sync runs automatically via cron on the schedule configured in settings.
Manual Knowledge Base Entries
Click Add Article to create a knowledge base entry:

| Title | Article heading (used as a context label for the AI) |
| Content | Article body (plain text or basic HTML) |
| Category | Optional category for organising articles |
Articles are stored in the WordPress database and indexed for the AI context window.
