Troubleshooting

The AI Platform Cannot Connect

Check the Connector URL

It must be exactly https://your-site.com/wp-json/windcodex-ops/v1/mcp, using your public HTTPS address.

Make sure the REST API is reachable

Open https://your-site.com/wp-json/ in a private window. If it returns an error, a security plugin or firewall is blocking it.

Allow the discovery paths

Platforms discover OAuth through /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server/wcops and /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/wcops. Make sure your server or firewall does not block /.well-known/.

Refresh permalinks

Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes to flush rewrite rules.

Use the static client

If auto-registration still fails, paste the Client ID and Secret from the Connection tab into the platform's Advanced/OAuth settings.

The Connector Says It Is Disabled

The connector returns a "disabled" error when it has been switched off in the plugin. Confirm the plugin is active and that you are not running Ops Pro alongside it (only one can be active).

"Your Account Is Not Allowed to Connect AI Apps"

The account you are logged in with does not meet Who can connect under General → Connector (Administrators only by default). Log in as an allowed user, or ask an administrator to allow Editors and above.

A Connection Suddenly Stopped Working

A connection stops as soon as the user who approved it loses the Who can connect role or is deleted. The platform then reports that the account behind the connection is no longer allowed to use the connector. Reconnect and approve it as an allowed user.

A Tool Is Missing

Open Tools and confirm the group that contains it is on. The connection reflects toggle changes immediately, but reconnecting the AI platform can refresh its cached tool list.

Too Many Requests

The connector is rate-limited to 120 requests per minute per user by default. Raise it (up to 600) under General → Preferences, or ask the AI to batch its work.

I Cannot Undo a Change

Undo works only for supported write tools and only inside the undo window (72 hours by default). Check that Keep undo history is on under General → Preferences. See Undo & Activity Log.

Tool Calls Are Not Showing on the Activity Tab

Show activity feed is switched off, so new calls are not being recorded. Turn it back on under General → Preferences. This does not affect undo.

Still stuck? Contact support through your WindCodex account (opens in a new tab).
