Installation

Open the plugin installer

In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New.

Search for the plugin

Type WindCodex ScraperBlock in the search box.

Install and activate

Click Install Now next to the plugin, then click Activate.

After Activation

Open ScraperBlock settings

Go to Settings → ScraperBlock in your WordPress dashboard.

Enable protection

Confirm Enable Protection is turned on.

Configure blocking methods

Keep robots.txt Blocking and noai / Meta Tags on. If your store should appear in ChatGPT or Perplexity answers, turn on Allow AI Search Bots.

On deactivation, all .htaccess rules added by ScraperBlock are automatically removed, leaving your .htaccess file clean.
