Installation
Download from your account
Log in to windcodex.com (opens in a new tab) and go to My Account → Subscriptions. Download the latest windcodex-returndesk-pro.zip.
Upload the plugin
In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin.
Enter your license key
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → License, enter your license key, and click Activate License.
After Activation
Verify your license
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → License and confirm the status shows Active.
Configure return eligibility
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → Returns → Eligibility to set your return window, allowed statuses, and partial return options.
Enable exchanges (optional)
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → Exchanges and toggle Enable Exchange Requests to Yes if you want to offer exchanges.
Test the workflow
Log in as a customer and submit a test return from My Account → My Returns to confirm the full flow.
What Happens on Activation
- Free ReturnDesk plugin is deactivated automatically.
- All free settings are imported.
- Pro defaults are merged (exchange settings, auto-approve, refund options, etc.).
- Scheduled cron events are registered for auto-close checks.
ReturnDesk Pro is a standalone plugin. The free version does not need to be installed. Pro includes all free features.
