Installation
Download from your account
Log in to windcodex.com (opens in a new tab) and download the latest windcodex-returndesk-pro.zip from your account.
Upload the plugin
In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin.
Enter your license key
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → License, enter your license key, and click Activate License.
After Activation
Verify your license
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → License and confirm the status shows Active.
Configure returns and exchanges
Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → General to set your return and exchange windows, allowed statuses, refund methods and exclusions.
Configure policies and emails
On the Advanced tab, set the COD return policy, WhatsApp support number, auto-close, and email templates.
Test the workflow
Log in as a customer, open a completed order under My Account → Orders → View, and submit a test return or exchange.
What Happens on Activation
- The free ReturnDesk plugin is deactivated automatically (its data is kept).
- Your existing ReturnDesk settings and requests are used as they are - they're shared with the free plugin.
- Pro settings use their defaults until you change them.
- An hourly scheduled task is registered for auto-close (it does nothing unless auto-close is on).
ReturnDesk Pro is a standalone plugin. The free version does not need to be installed.
