Installation
Download from your account
Log in to windcodex.com (opens in a new tab) and download the latest windcodex-shopchat.zip from your account.
Upload the plugin
In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin. WooCommerce must already be active.
Activate your license
Go to WooCommerce → ShopChat → License, enter your license key, and click Activate License.
After Activation
Connect an AI provider
Go to Settings → Connectors and connect OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini with your API key.
Select the connector
Go to WooCommerce → ShopChat → Settings → General and choose it under Select Connector.
Build the knowledge base
Go to the Knowledge Base tab and click Sync Now.
Test the chat
Visit a product page - the chat widget appears in the bottom-right corner. Enable Widget is on by default.
What Happens on Activation
- The chat log database table (
{prefix}shopchat_logs) is created. - Default settings are saved (existing settings are kept).
- A daily knowledge base sync is scheduled.
