Quick Start

Install on a staging site

See Installation.

Check the environment

Open Settings → Windcodex Forge Pro → Tools. If the site is detected as production, power tools show as blocked. See Live-Site Block. You can also run wp forge status.

Copy the Connector URL

From the Connection tab:

https://staging.your-site.com/wp-json/windcodex-forge/v1/mcp

Add a custom connector

Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP client and approve the consent screen. It lists what the AI will be allowed to do, and the approve button stays disabled until you tick the confirmation box.

Acknowledge your backup

On General, tick I have a backup in place if you want the AI to be able to run PHP (wp_execute_php) or create admin login links.

Try it

Write a shortcode [team_grid] for this theme as a draft, show me the diff, and don't promote it yet.

Read the last 200 lines of the debug log, find the fatal error, and propose a fix as a draft.
