Installation
Download from your account
Log in to windcodex.com (opens in a new tab) and go to My Account → Subscriptions. Download the latest windcodex-sitedocs.zip.
Upload the plugin
In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin.
Enter your AI API key
Go to Tools → SiteDocs → Settings and enter your AI provider API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini).
After Activation
Enter your AI API key
Go to Tools → SiteDocs → Settings → AI Provider and enter your API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini).
Run a site scan
Go to Tools → SiteDocs → Generate and click Scan Site to discover your site's content.
Generate documentation
Click Generate Documentation after the scan completes.
Browse your docs
Navigate to Tools → SiteDocs → Documentation to review your generated documentation.
What Happens on Activation
- Changelog database table is created.
- Default settings are saved.
- Daily auto-generation cron is scheduled.
