Quick Start

Configure return eligibility

Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → Returns → Eligibility and set your return window, allowed order statuses, and whether partial returns are permitted.

Enable exchanges if needed

Go to WooCommerce → ReturnDesk → Exchanges and toggle Enable Exchange Requests to Yes. Configure the exchange window and reasons.

Set up auto-approve

If you want hands-free processing, enable Auto-Approve Returns and/or Auto-Approve Exchanges in the respective settings panels.

Configure refund options

Decide whether approved returns trigger store credit, a payment method refund, or manual processing. Set this under Returns → Refund Options.

Add excluded products or categories

If some items are non-returnable (e.g., digital goods, sale items), add their product or category IDs under Returns → Exclusions.

Send a test request

Log in as a customer, go to My Account → My Returns, and submit a test request for a recent order to confirm the full workflow.
