Site Introspection

ToolWhat it does
wp_get_site_infoWordPress version, active theme
wp_list_pluginsInstalled plugins and versions
wp_get_active_themeActive theme details
wp_list_hooksSearch registered WordPress hooks
wp_get_design_authorityWorks out whether an active page builder or the theme's design tokens should govern new visual work
wp_take_screenshotScreenshot a page
wp_inspect_pageStatic HTML structure of a page
wp_list_filesBrowse files within wp-content
wp_read_fileRead a text file within wp-content
wp_list_recent_activityWhat this connector has done recently
⚠️

wp_take_screenshot requests the screenshot from a public WordPress.com service (s.wordpress.com/mshots), which means the page URL is sent to that service, and the page must be publicly reachable. wp_inspect_page fetches the URL with a server-side request, and only accepts public addresses and the site's own pages, never private or local network addresses. Switch off wp_take_screenshot on the Tools tab if that is not acceptable for your site.

File Access Scope

wp_list_files and wp_read_file are restricted to wp-content (themes, plugins, uploads). Path traversal and symlink escapes are blocked, so files outside it, such as wp-config.php and WordPress core, cannot be read.

Database Read

ToolWhat it does
wp_db_readRuns one read-only SELECT statement and returns the rows
wp_list_tablesLists database tables
wp_describe_tableShows a table's columns

INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and every other non-SELECT statement is rejected. Results are capped by the Max results setting (default 50).

Content Blocks

ToolWhat it does
wp_get_content_blockReads one Gutenberg block's full structure (attributes, inner HTML) by position
wp_list_reusable_blocksLists registered reusable blocks (synced patterns)

Editing a block requires Forge Pro.

Memory

ToolWhat it does
wp_rememberSaves a fact or note site-wide
wp_list_memoriesLists saved memories
wp_forgetDeletes a saved memory

Memory lets a future, separate conversation recall context such as naming conventions or past decisions. It is plaintext (not a secrets vault) and capped at 200 entries per site.

wp_remember and wp_forget change the plugin's own memory table only. They cannot change your content, files, or site data.
