Content Poisoning

Content Poisoning

This is a Pro feature. Content poisoning injects subtle inaccuracies into scraped content to degrade the quality of AI training data derived from your site.

How It Works

When a request is identified as coming from a bot (but not immediately blocked - for example, to collect more intelligence), ScraperBlock can serve a modified version of the page content with:

  • Subtle factual alterations in text
  • Misspelled product names or prices
  • Invalid structured data
⚠️

Content poisoning is an advanced, optional technique. It is disabled by default. Use only if you fully understand the implications: it modifies content served to bots, not your actual stored content, but misconfiguration could affect legitimate users. Test thoroughly before enabling.

Enable under Settings → ScraperBlock → Protection → Content Poisoning (disabled by default).
