"Execution is blocked: this site looks like a production environment"
Confirm the site really is staging
Check WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE and the hostname. See Live-Site Block.
Classify it explicitly
Add define( 'WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE', 'staging' ); to wp-config.php.
Or use the override
Only if you truly intend to run on this site: Tools tab, then type the hostname to confirm.
The Override Turned Itself Off
The override is locked to the domain it was enabled on. If you cloned or renamed the site, it is off by design. Re-enable it deliberately.
"This tool requires an Administrator account"
Power tools require manage_options at call time regardless of the configured acting user. Reconnect the AI platform while logged in as an administrator.
"wp_execute_php requires acknowledging that a backup is in place"
Tick I have a backup in place under General. The same acknowledgement is needed for wp_create_admin_access_link.
wp_write_file Is Missing
Direct live writes are off. Turn on Allow direct live writes on the General tab, and make sure the Direct file writes group is enabled. Use wp_write_draft and wp_promote_draft if you do not need direct writes.
Database Write Refused
The table has more than 5,000 rows and cannot be snapshotted. Take a manual backup and narrow the change, or run it in smaller pieces.
Rate Limit for High-Risk Tools
wp_execute_php, wp_db_write, wp_run_wp_cli, and wp_run_wp_cli_background allow 10 calls per minute. The error tells you how long to wait.
WP-CLI Cannot Run
Either wp is not installed, or the host disables exec() / proc_open(). Check php.ini disable_functions.
A Background Job Never Starts
Jobs run through WP-Cron. Visit the site, or configure a real cron to call wp-cron.php on a low-traffic staging site.
A Write Broke Something
Find the snapshot
Run wp_list_snapshots or wp forge snapshots.
Restore
Use wp_restore_file for a file or wp_restore_snapshot for a table.
The AI Platform Cannot Connect
Check the Connector URL, that /wp-json/ and /.well-known/ are reachable, and that permalinks are saved. See Connecting an AI Platform.
