Site Guide (Client View)

The Site Guide is a read-only copy of the documentation for the people you hand the site over to. It lives at Dashboard → Site Guide, separate from the SiteDocs admin screens (which stay administrator-only).

Giving Clients Access

Choose the roles

Go to Tools → SiteDocs → Settings → Client Engagement → Who Can View the Site Guide and tick the roles your clients use - for example Editor or Shop Manager.

Save

Click Save Settings.

Generate documentation

The Site Guide menu item appears once documentation exists.

Administrators can always open the Site Guide.

What Clients See

  • Every documentation section, with its walkthrough video and translation (if any)
  • Last updated date, and "Prepared by" your agency name if set
  • Mark as Read - see Read Tracking
  • Your support button, if a Support URL is set
  • Ask a Question - AI Chat answered from the guide

Clients can't edit, regenerate, translate or export, and never see developer notes, license keys or the Handover Tools.

The dashboard widget links to the Site Guide for everyone who can view it.

Each AI Chat question is one request to your AI provider. Only administrators and the roles you choose can ask.
