Quick Start

Check switching is on

Enable User Switching is on by default under SwitchUser → General.

Review the front-end bar

On the Advanced tab, customise the "Viewing as" bar and turn on Front-end Quick Search if you want to switch from the storefront.

Set log retention

On the Audit tab, set Auto Purge Retention (Days) to match your compliance requirements.

Optional: restrict switching

On the Advanced tab, add an IP Allowlist, Lock Specific User IDs, an Idle Timeout or a Scheduled Access Window.

Optional: turn on notifications

On the Notifications tab, turn on the per-switch email and/or the weekly digest.

Test the full flow

Switch to a user, check the front-end bar appears, switch back, and confirm the events on the Audit tab.
