Installation
After Activation
Open SwitchGuard settings
Go to SwitchGuard in your WordPress admin menu.
Confirm user switching is enabled
Enable User Switching defaults to Yes, so no setup is needed here. If it's been turned off, toggle it back to Yes and save.
Perform your first switch
Visit Users → All Users and click the Switch to link under any non-admin user.

The default state of Enable User Switching is Yes - switching is available as soon as the plugin is activated. Turn it off in SwitchGuard → Settings if you'd rather require an explicit opt-in.
