User Grants
Grant specific non-admin users permission to switch to a defined set of target users.
Navigate to Users → Edit User → SwitchGuard Grants (visible on any user profile page when Pro is active).
Setting Up a Grant
Open the user's profile
Open the profile page of the user you want to grant switching ability to (e.g., a Shop Manager).
Add a grant
In the SwitchGuard Grants box, click Add Grant.
Select target users
Select the user(s) this person is permitted to switch to.
Save the profile
Save the user profile to persist the grant.
Grants are stored as user meta. The grantee does not need the edit_users capability - SwitchGuard checks grants independently.
Use Case: Allow a support team member (Subscriber role) to switch to their own assigned customers, without granting full admin access.
